Making Up For Lost Time

These days, I usually stay at home, be it after work or over the weekends (which isn't a bad thing afterall)

Watching the live telecast of soccer matches with my dad / Glued to the TV by some Hongkong TV series with parents / Whipping up some 'good for the soul' pasta for my family...

I know that when I'm not around they'll miss me and I can see and sense that they really care for me (and my siblings of course)... And I'm really thankful that at the moment, even with the meagre sum of money that I earn from various sources, I can still give them something in return...Growing up in a grass root community, I must say that my parents have taught me a lot about being someone, most of the time with a cane of course...hahaha

Had dinner with my dad yesterday and we chatted a bit...it was funny when I was observing him order food and stuff...not sure why but yeah...he surprised me by telling me that he is willing to spent $16 on some Boon Tong Kee chicken rice (for 1) to pamper himself...and he has already done that before...$16 for some chicken rice!!! That I've never done before...

Was talking to him about some work related stuff and he actually advised me to grit through the harsh reality of being an employee and learn as much as possible in the process which is even more valuable than fiscal gains...hmmmm...haha surprise surprise...

anywayz my parents have been realli supportive and encouraging so im very much contented with the way things are going at the moment!
